The 2022 Debauchee Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon shows refined, mature evolution on both the nose and palate, with bright acidity balanced beautifully against a full, well-structured body. On opening, the wine offers an expressive and generous bouquet, weaving together notes of red cherry, milk chocolate, and cedar. On the palate, silky tannins and a round, harmonious structure deliver impressive layers and concentration. The finish is long and vibrant, carried by persistent fruit and a velvety texture that lingers well after the last sip.

🍇 The 2022 Vintage 🍇

The 2022 harvest moved at a noticeably faster pace than previous years, opening with a burst of high heat in early September before several rounds of rain arrived in mid-September. Once the rain passed, mild and stable weather allowed the remaining fruit to hang on the vine into October, giving winemakers the extra time needed to reach ideal ripeness. Winemakers dubbed 2022 a "two-part harvest," as they were forced to choose between picking early to beat the heat or holding out for phenolic ripeness — the key to producing full-bodied, complex wines. It was a challenging vintage, and not every vineyard performed at its peak, but the winemaking team's persistence ultimately struck the right balance between ripeness, structure, and harmony.
